These are the suggested hymns for the month of December, selected from the Southwark Diocese Music Planner. We will rehearse on Mondays and depending on rehearsals and availability of musicians will choose the repertoire therefore the hymn numbers may be subject to change. 

Thus the finally selected hymns will appear on the main web page Hymns. Updates of the final version will be posted 24 hours after the Monday rehearsal.

Season of Advent - Year C - Year of Luke


    1st Sunday of Advent (C) – 2nd December 2018

Themes: Fear is the most crippling of all emotions and there are many things in life and in the world to make us afraid. We lack integrity because we are afraid to be ourselves. But today we lift up our souls to Christ who comes to deliver us from fear. We can stand erect, hold our heads high, and dwell in confidence.

Themes: We celebrate the marvels God has worked for us in sending us his mercy and forgiveness, and calling us to share his glory. We await with joyful hope that ‘Day of the Lord’ when his work in us will be complete.

Themes: Today we sing and shout for joy with Christ, the Lord of the Dance, who brings us the Good News of our redemption, and renews us by his love.
